Costas Georghiou

Costas Georghiou was born and raised in Kato Dhikomo, Kyrenia District. He graduated from Nicosia Technical School in 1974 and Higher Technical Institute in 1977. He attended University of Houston in 1979 after a 2-year stint in Saudi Arabia. He graduated with a BSc in Civil Engineering in 1981 and an MSc in 1984. He is a registered Professional Engineer since 1985 specializing in the design and management of major infrastructure projects. For the last 24 years he is a principal with PGAL, Inc. a Houston based national architecture and engineering company where he leads its nationwide engineering practice. He has resided in Houston for the last 42 years and has two grown children, Chrystalla and Kyriakos. He is a member of Saint Basil the Great Greek Orthodox Church. In addition to engineering practice where he tries to make a positive impact on the community we live in and mentor the next generation of engineers, Costas is a big Astros and University of Houston fan and tries to attend as many games as possible.
